When will I get my team assignment and schedule?
Team assignments and schedules are usually posted 7-10 days before the start of the season. You will receive an email once this information is available!
Can I make a teammate and/or coach request?
Yes! During registration, there is a section where you can enter your friend and coach requests. Be sure to include the person's first and last name and confirm that you’re registering in the same age group.
Please note that while we strive to accommodate as many requests as possible, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met. Thank you for your understanding as we work to create balanced and fun teams for everyone!
Is there a limit on the number of requests I can have?
Yes, there are limits on the number of requests to ensure balanced teams. In flag football, requests are limited to 5 players per team. If a group has more than 5 requests, they will need to split into multiple teams or move to our competitive league.
For all other sports, requests are limited to the team size, which is typically 10-12 players depending on the sport and age group. This helps us create a fun and fair experience for all participants!
When and where are practices and games held?
All practices and games are held on the day and location that you signed up for (unless otherwise noted). Your team will practice and then go immediately into your game. No more driving all over town 3-4 nights a week!
Are the leagues coed?
Yes, almost all of our leagues are coed. We work hard to keep the boy-to-girl ratio as even as possible across each age group.
We do have all-girl options for flag football, soccer, and basketball depending on the season.
What age group will my child be in?
We use the last day of the season to determine the child's playing age. The exact date for each program can be found in the program details!
Can my child play in a different age group?
Players are allowed to "play up" to the next age group. However, we do not allow players to "play down" in the age group below them. This is to ensure the safety and fairness for all players! If you want your child to play in a different age group, send us an email after registering.
Where can I find the rulebooks?
Rulebooks can be found on our website. Navigate to the "Coaches" tab, click on the sport you want, and then select "Rule Books." Please keep in mind that each franchise has its own rulebook.
How are teams built?
Unlike most leagues, we do not hold tryouts or assessments. Instead, we use the information provided by parents during registration—such as height, weight, skill level, and other details—along with some additional backend data to create the most balanced teams possible. Our goal is to ensure a fun and competitive experience for all players!
Flag Football
What is the difference between the rec and competitive flag football leagues?
The recreational league is designed for beginners and players seeking a more laid-back experience. Teammate and coach requests are limited to 5 per team to maintain balanced gameplay.
The competitive league, on the other hand, is geared toward more advanced players looking for a faster-paced and more competitive environment. There is no limit on teammate or coach requests in this league—you can bring an entire team or register as a "free agent" to join an existing team if space is available.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
We have a no-refund policy, which is outlined in the "Registration Agreement" signed during registration. However, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. If extenuating circumstances apply, please contact us to discuss your situation. Once team assignments and schedules are posted (typically 7-10 days before the season begins), we are unable to process refunds. As an alternative, we’d be happy to move your registration to a different sport or season or issue a registration credit to your i9 Sports account, which can be applied to a future program.
