You will find that i9 Sports is an exciting alternative to other programs, because we offer the features you value most:

Teams and Divisions: We create divisions based off age. Age groups are co-ed and usually break down in the 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-14 age divisions but some modifications may be necessary based on final registrations. Teams will consist of a maximum of 8 players for 4v4 play in the 4-5 and 6-7 age divisions and a maximum of 12 players for 6v6 play in all other age division divisions. In our instructional format, when we are short on players to form four or more teams in an age division, teams can vary from week to week and kids will be broken up with a goal of creating the best possible experience for all kids.

SPECIAL REQUESTS: We do allow you to request to play with a buddy or specific coach during the registration process. We will do our very best to honor as many special requests as possible, however they are NOT GUARANTEED. Requests will be honored in the order in which they are received. Requests may be denied because a child is too old or young, a roster is full, or the coach is not coaching during the season.

Practice: Practices start 30-45 minutes prior to the game, depending on age group, making it a once-per-week commitment for kids, parents and coaches.

Equipment: i9 Sports provides each player with an official i9 Sports reversible jersey that your kids get to keep (the kids love the reversible jersey). Players may wear shorts of any type, as long as they are not red (the flags are red), and do not have pockets or belt loops. Appropriate footwear must be worn. Metal cleats are not allowed.

Awards: Each week, beginning in Week 2, one or two kids from each team will be awarded an i9 Sports Sportsmanship Medal for demonstrating the value for that week. They also will get to take home a Sportsmanship Award Winner yard sign to display for the week. All kids will receive an award at the conclusion of the season.

Coaches & Referees: All coaches, usually a volunteer parent of a child playing on the team, will receive mandatory certified background checks. Please consider volunteering! Coaches will find the experience personally rewarding. All referees are trained to ensure the highest level of professionalism during all games.

Program Details

7-week schedule.
Everybody plays. Every game!
There are No Tryouts, No Drafts, and No Fundraisers!
Teams are organized in divisions based on the age of the child. Depending on age group and format, teams consist of 8-12 players on rosters.
Practices are conveniently held on game day - just prior to the game.

Other Equipment

An official i9 Sports^® Reversible Flag Football Jersey is provided and included in your fee
An official i9 Sports^® flag belt is provided for use.
Players may wear black shorts or sweatpants (No pockets or belt loops).
Rubber cleats or sneakers (No metal spikes).
Mouthguards are required at all times during play.

Coaches & Referees
All coaches and referees are i9 Sports-certified and undergo a background check.

Staff
There will be an i9 Sports site manager as well as an i9 Sports flag football staff on site to assist in programming details and provide support to players, coache, and parents. These staff members undergo a background check.

i9 Sports Families
It is the essence of the i9 Sports Experience to have families attend practice and games to cheer on their athlete(s). We encourage at least one parent or guardian to join in all game day activities as a spectator, motivator and role model. Let's work together to put the "fun" back into youth sports!

Registration/Refund Policy: After the final deadline, any remaining available positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you registered after the deadline, you may still make buddy or coach requests but they are no longer guaranteed. There will be NO REFUNDS after the deadline. If for any reason your child can no longer participate, we can transfer your child’s registration to another sport or season.
