Program Details

We are excited to offer a baseball travel season. Our number one priority is having fun, staying safe, learning how to play the game, and focusing on good sportsmanship.

Program Format - All i9 Sports programs are recreational, with a focus on fun, inclusivity and great sportsmanship. The purpose of this league is for teams to compete against other teams in the Lithonia and Stone Mountain area (see travel locations below). Teams are organized into divisions based on ages and the number of players. Teams may consist of 8-10 players.

Schedule: Both practices and games are held on Sundays. Season consists of a 6 week game season. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons. Schedules will be finalized when rosters are finalized normally 5-7 days prior to opening day.

End of Season Tournament: All teams will qualify for the tournament and seeding is based on the team’s regular season standings.

Locations: Your player’s home field is where you registered. Your team will travel and play other teams in the surrounding counties in a 25 minute drive radius. (i.e. Dekalb County).

Practice: Teams will practice each week (30-40 mins) prior to their scheduled game. Teams can practice during the week but must be organized by the team. i9 Sports does not provide scheduled field space for practice outside of their regular scheduled play day.

Equipment: The league provides each player an official i9 Sports reversible jersey. Players may wear baseball pants, shorts or sweatpants. Appropriate footwear includes baseball/football/soccer cleats (no metal spikes.)

Awards: Participation trophies will be awarded to all other players. Sportmanship medals will be awarded each week.

Coaches - Our coaches are volunteers and are almost always parents of our participants. Our parents and coaches are held to a standard of behavior. We provide great communication, organization, and convenience. Want to coach? Great! Simply fill out the volunteer information during the registration process. You may also become a Certified i9 Sports coach by clicking VOLUNTEER which will submit your information to the i9 Sports staff enabling us to complete a background check. Once submitted and approved, the i9 staff will apply your information to a team roster where needed or by your request.

Weather Cancellations: If we lose a weekend of games to weather, we will make them up.

Age groupings are tentative. We reserve the right to alter the age groups based on final enrollment.

i9 Sports Families

It is the essence of the i9 Sports Experience to have families attend practice and games to cheer on their athlete(s). Due to the current recommendations for the Covid-19, we are continuing to enforce social distancing indoors and out. Masks are optional for everyone. Let's work together to put the "fun" back into youth sports!
